Children and young people under 16 are strictly prohibited from consuming alcohol. Young people under 18 are strictly prohibited from consuming spirits and drinks containing spirits (mixed drinks).

If your age is not clearly above the legal limits, you must show staff an official ID.

Drink plenty of non-alcoholic drinks and eat enough during the festival! It helps you stay fit and clear-headed. A great atmosphere and comfortable lounges invite you to relax and chill. Look after yourself, stay fit and get around safely.

Tickets have to be exchanged for a festival wristband at the entrance. It must be worn tight around your wrist. Opened, damaged or lost wristbands lose their validity. The festival wristband carries proof of age. It is only issued on presentation of an official ID — ID is compulsory!

With the wristband on, you can leave and re-enter the festival and camping grounds at any time.

Visitors with a disability who depend on a companion receive a 2-for-1 concession. The companion gets a free ticket in the category you bought.

To use this offer, you must provide a valid document showing that you depend on a companion. Tickets are booked by e-mail at rollstuhl@ticketmaster.ch

Please send a copy of your valid IV card (CH), disability card (DE) or the companion entry in your SwissPass directly to Ticketmaster to complete the purchase.

Tickets for people with disabilities can be ordered until the festival starts on 8 July 2027 at rollstuhl@ticketmaster.ch. These tickets are not available at the box office.

Purchases at all food and drink stands, bars and non-food stands on the festival grounds are handled quickly by debit or credit card. The following payment methods are accepted: Apple Pay, Mastercard, Maestro, Postfinance, Samsung Pay, SwatchPAY!, TWINT, Visa and V Pay,

Something stolen, or something to report?

Drugs are prohibited at the festival, as they are everywhere in Switzerland. The addiction support service is on site for any questions about alcohol and drugs.

Drones are prohibited across the entire festival grounds. We ask everyone to stick to the rules!

At OAF 2027 the fattest culinary line-up off the stages is waiting for you! Discover brand-new trends like the KEBAO (Asian-style kebab), fluffy bubble waffles and healthy fresh bowls alongside a huge range of burgers from smash to vegan. Enjoy popular fried chicken menus, the classic torch skewers, cheese spätzle, pizza or momos — and whatever you do, don't miss the legendary churros, the best smoothies, Greek pitas and so much more.

The official OAF app shows you every food stand at a glance and lets you filter by vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free. The interactive map takes you straight to the stand of your choice. In short: hangry doesn't stand a chance here!

Limit on drinks brought in

If you want to bring your own drinks onto the campsite, you may bring in 3 litres once, in units of your choice. Glass bottles are prohibited. Aluminium cans are allowed.

Drinking bottles (e.g. PET bottles or collapsible bottles up to 0.5 litres) may be taken onto the festival grounds. Free drinking water stations on site let you refill them at any time.

Professional photo and video recording is only permitted in the camping area. Small digital cameras and smartphones may also be used on the festival grounds.

Found something? Lost something? No problem! The festival lost and found is at the clearly marked info point by the festival entrance, at the wristband check.

After the festival the lost and found is closed. Items are then held at the Frauenfeld police station — from 30 July you can call them to ask.

Quiet music is no fun. Music that is too loud isn't either. We keep to the existing rules on maximum volume. If that is still too loud for you, you can and should protect yourself. That is why we hand out free earplugs; available at the info point, at the stage barrier and at exposed bars.

A deposit of CHF 2 is charged on every drink you buy. The deposit is refunded directly to your debit or credit card at all bars and drink stands.

Our long-standing staff are there for questions and concerns of any kind. The info stands are at the main entrance and at the wristband check on the festival grounds.

Admission to Openair Frauenfeld is generally granted to visitors aged 16 and over. Visitors under 16 need written confirmation from their parents.

Children up to and including 12 get in free. Admission only when accompanied by an adult.

From their 13th birthday, the full admission price applies.

The VIP ticket is only available to visitors aged 18 and over.

Admission to the LaFabrik stage and the concerts there is restricted to 18 and over under Swiss youth protection law (Tobacco Act).

Openair Frauenfeld doesn't just stand for good music — our environment matters to us just as much! As a large-scale event we see our responsibility for the sustainable development of our festival, and alongside ecological and economic strategies we place particular emphasis on social sustainability. Continuously promoting, developing and implementing the following measures is central to that — for an environmentally conscious festival visit and a sustainable future for our environment.

Our festival grounds are directly adjacent to a nature reserve. Together with the responsible supervisory commission we have put extensive measures in place to protect this zone. We ask our visitors to observe and respect them.

With Mobile Locker we offer you lockers of the latest generation. They come in various sizes, optionally with a power socket for conveniently charging phones, batteries or other electrical devices.

For a stress-free check-in, book your Openair Frauenfeld festival locker from MOBILE LOCKER online today. The power sockets take 1× Euro plug and 2× USB “A” plugs.

MOBILE LOCKER is fully electronic and operated with a personal PIN code instead of conventional keys, so you can easily share your Openair Frauenfeld festival locker with your friends.

With the PIN code you can open and close the locker as often as you like, at any time, with no further payment.

The lockers are installed at central points on the festival grounds.

You can transfer your ticket to someone else free of charge, verified and legally binding, from your Ticketmaster account. A transfer is only possible for festival tickets (not upgrades) and only for e-tickets. How the transfer works:

Note: the transfer can be cancelled as long as the recipient has not yet confirmed it. Please note this is only possible for a festival ticket issued as an e-ticket (print@home). Upgrade tickets unfortunately cannot be transferred (camping upgrade etc.). Transferring a ticket incurs no additional costs.

A music festival is torture for animals. So please leave your beloved four-legged friends at home. We also cannot allow them on the grounds for hygiene reasons. Thanks for understanding!

Drinking water points are marked on the campsites and on the festival grounds.

Empty e-cigarettes and vapes contain a lot of substances that harm the environment. Recycle them conveniently with us at the festival!

Camping isn't just allowed here, it's positively encouraged! The campsites are right next to the festival grounds and are open continuously from Thursday 08.00 until Sunday 12.00.

Please note: everyone who wants to camp on the grounds needs a camping upgrade.

To camp on the festival grounds you need a camping voucher in addition to your festival ticket. Party tents and gazebos are only allowed up to a maximum size of 3×3 metres and, for reasons of space, may only stand over or very close to your tent.

We have security staff on the campsites who will assign you your pitch.

We offer Regular Camping, Relaxed Camping and Comfort Camping on campsites C and D. So that everyone has enough room to set up camp, the camping upgrades come with 12 m².

Campsites C and D each have a central shower station.

The campervan vouchers for Openair Frauenfeld 2027 will be available in early September. The vouchers entitle you to park a campervan (7.5 m × 4 m) in the campervan parking area.

A tent deposit voucher of CHF 20 is required for every tent you bring. If you take your tent home again and hand in the token you received at the entrance at a return point, you get the full amount back.

From OAF27 the tent deposit voucher is no longer sold in advance. The deposit is now paid on site when you take up the pitch you booked, and is refunded automatically to the original payment method when you return the tent. This lets us keep the process simple and secure for everyone.

Small disposable barbecues are allowed on the camping grounds. Gas and camping stoves are prohibited across the entire grounds.

Bringing gas cartridges of any size is also prohibited. Cartridges are disposed of at the entrance.

There are staffed fire pits on the campsites. Your own fire pits are not allowed.

Get 20 % off your public transport ticket. The discounted public transport ticket is only valid together with an admission ticket. Both must be shown when checked.

Visitors will find the car park after the “Frauenfeld West” exit on the A7 motorway. If you hold a VIP ticket, please use the “Frauenfeld Ost” exit to reach the VIP parking.

The car park is right next to the festival grounds and is signposted from the “Frauenfeld West” motorway exit. It opens on Thursday at 07.00.

VIP parking: if you hold a VIP ticket, please use the “Frauenfeld Ost” motorway exit. Parking for VIP guests is free.

Important: parking outside the marked areas is not permitted. Illegally parked cars will be towed at the owner's expense; the festival accepts no liability.

Visitors arriving in a campervan need an additional “campervan pitch” voucher. This voucher entitles you to park a campervan (7.5 m × 4 m) in a separate parking area.

The campervan vouchers will be available in early September.

From Thursday to Sunday we run a free shuttle bus service between the station and the festival grounds. Use is included in your festival ticket.

The main entrance including VIP check-in is open continuously from Thursday 8 July, 08.00.

The camping grounds are generally open from Thursday 8 July 2027 at 08.00 until Sunday 11 July 2027 at 12.00.

The following admission times apply to the camping grounds:

Day tickets are admitted according to the opening times of the festival grounds.

Check-in for the camping upgrades is open at these times. After the one-off wristband exchange you can come and go at any time.

If you feel uncomfortable, or have experienced or witnessed an incident, you can press the emergency button in our app. Your call goes straight to the security control room and you get help, wherever you are.

As a large-scale event we see our responsibility for the sustainable development of our festival, and alongside ecological and economic strategies we place particular emphasis on social sustainability. Continuously promoting, developing and implementing the following measures is central to that — for an environmentally conscious festival visit and a sustainable future for our environment.

To minimise our ecological footprint, we aim to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 50 % by 2030.

Wherever possible we use the existing infrastructure on the Allmend in Frauenfeld for the event, such as the existing fresh water and waste water pipes, to keep transport-related CO2 emissions as low as possible.

Our festival has an increasing range of vegetarian and vegan food.

Every year, for each edition of the festival, we plant numerous trees along the Frauenfeld Allee that we initiated, so we can give something back to the nature around our festival grounds.

With recycling systems for festival visitors as well as bars and food stands, we focus on separating and reducing waste throughout the festival.

The tent voucher deposit system of CHF 20 per tent is designed to make sure tents are taken home again after the festival, which helps reduce the amount of waste.

Further measures include automatic push-button taps to reduce water consumption, a ban on physical flyers and the continuous reduction of plastic.

Through partnerships with SBB we give all festival visitors 20 % off train tickets, offer free shuttle buses and extra trains, and so encourage people to travel to the festival by public transport.

We are increasingly using green energy at the festival and are continuously developing green technology concepts.

We buy locally wherever possible. Catering businesses at the festival are made aware of and encouraged towards local sourcing, and our focus is on local food.

Precise power requirement plans, efficient use and drawing part of the electricity from the mains provider save both costs and resources.

Through awareness-raising and requirements for catering businesses at Openair Frauenfeld, minimising food waste is always front of mind.

Through our awareness concept we promote social sustainability with specific, anti-discriminatory awareness communication and by directly raising awareness among staff and festival visitors. This is complemented by information, safety and counselling services at the festival.

Gender equality matters a great deal to us and is put into practice at all times, both in our internal company structures and as a guiding principle of the event.

By raising awareness among employees, suppliers and partners, our sustainability strategy in the areas of economy, ecology and social sustainability is passed on and implemented together.

We design our events to be as barrier-free and inclusive as possible. That includes continuously adapting the infrastructure and promoting integration and access for people with disabilities.

Through active sustainability communication we foster a sustainable community that is encouraged before, during and after the event with information, suggestions and surveys on visiting the festival sustainably. The focus is on activating the various ways our visitors can support us with our sustainability strategy.

Something stolen, or something to report?

In addition to stricter entrance checks, all bags and rucksacks larger than 21 × 30 centimetres (A4) are prohibited on the concert grounds. Small body bags that stay under that size are allowed, but will be checked when you move from the campsite to the concert grounds.

Gym bags are allowed on the festival grounds.

We carry out baggage and bag checks when you enter the camping grounds. Visitors with large amounts of luggage should expect to wait before entering the camping areas.

Together with a medical service provider and an experienced team of doctors, first aid is available around the clock. The medical centre is to the left of the main stage (South Stage) and between the shower tent and the Zweifel grill, at Camping D.

There are lockers at various locations. They can be reserved online before the festival or booked on site.

Bring only the camping equipment you really need. When you first enter the camping areas, take only the luggage you need to put up and set up your tent — the tent, a sleeping bag, an air bed or sleeping mat — and leave everything else in your vehicle for now.

As a rule, your vehicle is the safest place in a storm. Visitors with free space in their vehicles should signal this with their hazard lights on and take in festival visitors who have no vehicle of their own.

In a storm, avoid wooded areas and trees. Also stay away from any metal objects on the event grounds (lighting towers, speaker towers etc.). Follow the instructions of the security staff and stick to the evacuation plan.

Our focus is on the complete festival experience! That is why we mainly offer multi-day tickets — a 1-day ticket is only available for Saturday. VIPs can, however, still get single tickets for Thursday or Friday.

If you have a 1-day ticket and want to be there for the other festival days too, you can upgrade your ticket through Ticketmaster. A handling fee applies to the upgrade. Please contact Ticketmaster support about this.

Based on feedback from the OAF community and our experience of recent years, we have had clearly organised camping areas since 2026 — so you'll always find a safe and comfortable pitch. Free camping is therefore no longer included in the festival ticket. Get a camping upgrade for you and your friends now!

Regular Camping: your familiar camping upgrade, valid for 2 to 4 people and a 12 m² pitch.

Relaxed Camping: for everyone who wants things a bit quieter at night (quiet hours 01.00 to 08.00). Also valid for 2 to 4 people and a 12 m² pitch.

Comfort Camping: don't fancy hauling and pitching a tent? We got you! Choose from various options for a pre-pitched tent, some including camp beds or proper beds.

No, there has been no separate VIP camping since 2026. As a VIP you can, however, book a Regular, Relaxed or Comfort Camping voucher. That gives you — as before — your reserved 12 m² pitch for 2 to 4 people, with full comfort and everything planned in advance.

With Comfort Camping we offer an attractive alternative with a wide choice of accommodation — from the basic tent to comfort accommodation with proper beds. So there is something for every need and every budget.

Important: 3 litres of drinks per person are allowed, once. That covers drinks of all kinds: beer, spirits, water, milk and so on.

You can buy more cheaply on the grounds or at the beer stands. You can also refill drinking water for free at the drinking water points at any time.

Please remember that glass is prohibited across the entire grounds.

For your festival experience you need a camping voucher as well as your festival ticket — just choose between Regular, Relaxed and Comfort Camping. You'll find more about each option under the upgrades.

Camping voucher

You need one voucher per tent; the voucher works as a deposit. It costs CHF 20, but don't worry — you get the money back when you go home, as long as you take your tent with you.

Yes, as long as there is a tent voucher for each tent.

No problem. The first person to arrive redeems the ticket at check-in and receives 4 access wristbands for the camping area. These can then be passed on to the people arriving later.

If you have two upgrades in the same zone and want to camp next to each other, you simply have to arrive at the same time — then you'll get pitches next to each other. Reserving is not possible.

No, campervan camping is not supervised.

Yes, both on the festival grounds and on the camping grounds.
