Questions and suggestions
If you have questions or suggestions about this privacy policy or about how we handle your data, please get in touch.
How we use your data
We collect and use your data for several reasons, for example to enable you to attend the events you love, to share news, for marketing purposes and for other legally required reasons.
What data we have & where we get it from
- When you set up an account or buy a product from us (such as a ticket or merchandise) we collect your contact and billing information.
- When you buy tickets for one of our events or an event we co-promote, we receive your data from official ticket outlets used to sell tickets for events we promote or co-promote, or for venues we rent. This includes your name, your contact details and information about the ticket purchase, such as the number of tickets and the seat number(s).
- When you attend one of our events, we may capture your data through (i) CCTV cameras (signs indicate where cameras are in use), (ii) our free wifi (if you register to use it) and, where available, (iii) cashless payments using wristbands that can be used to access events and to make purchases at the event.
- When you use our website or our apps, we capture data such as the browser and device you use, your IP address, your location, the website you visited, what you used our website/apps for and what you did not, or the page you visited after leaving us. For more information about how we collect this data, see our cookie policy.
- When you use a social media feature on our website or in our apps and post on social networks, the social network's website will provide us with data about you.
- If you have accessibility requirements, we want to make sure you can enjoy attending events. To do that we need to collect details of your particular needs (which may mean you have to provide data about your mental or physical health).
- In the few cases where we collect personal data from children, we always obtain parental consent and will only collect that data for the purposes stated at the point of collection.
- We use suppliers who collect geodemographic data that allows us to personalise our services for you more effectively. If you do not agree with this, please read the “Your rights and choices” section below.
How we use your data & why
This section explains how we use your data and on what legal basis.
1. To perform your contract with us
We use your data when you enter into a contract with us (e.g. to buy merchandise or tickets), in order to:
· process your order,
· take payments, and
· provide you with customer support.
2. For legitimate business interests
· To carry out market research and analysis in order to improve and adapt our products and services.
· For our marketing purposes, where your consent is not required for that marketing (see section 3 below).
· To send you customer service e-mails with booking confirmations and reminders about dates.
· To prevent or detect unlawful behaviour, to protect or enforce our legal rights, or otherwise to the extent permitted by law. We do this, for example, to make sure tickets end up in the hands of “real fans”. We may therefore use your data to prevent the sale of tickets on black markets, the misuse of our intellectual property (e.g. our trade marks or those of our event partners), fraud or other offences.
· To build a profile about you that allows us to personalise our services for you. For example, if you buy tickets for pop events and have consented to our marketing, we will tell you about other pop events that might interest you.
About your personalisation settings
We can give you more of what you are interested in if we know you better. To make sure our communications and our website are relevant to you, we build a user profile from the data we have about you and your use of our services.
How to turn personalisation off
Simply switch off “Allow personalisation” in your account settings. We will stop all personalisation and use your data only for basic services, such as checking for fraud.
What happens if you turn personalisation off?
We will no longer use your data to work out what your interests are. That means you will no longer receive personal recommendations, and any newsletters you have subscribed to will be generic only (but if you have asked for notifications about particular artists or venues, we will continue to send you those).
We will continue to carry out profiling activities to the extent necessary to provide you with our services, e.g. for the purpose of fraud checking, and where you expressly wish it, e.g. by following a particular artist.
Is turning personalisation off the same as turning cookies off?
No, these are different things. To review your cookie settings you can use our cookie consent tool. For more information, see our cookie policy.
· To ensure the security of our business operations and those of our event partners.
3. Where you have given your consent
• To send you information or offers about our upcoming events, products or services – which may be by e-mail, by push and web notification, by SMS or via social network platforms. You can change your marketing settings at any time; see the “Your choices and rights” section below.
• To provide you with location-based services – such as our festival apps, which let you see yourself on the map, so that we can use your location to send you push notifications and tell you what is happening around you.
• To carry out crowd management analysis – some of our apps use crowd management software so that we can see how many people are in front of a particular stage, or when the bars are busiest. This allows us to deploy our resources more efficiently. We switch the software on shortly before the festival or event and switch it off shortly afterwards, so that we are not tracking devices when there is no need.
• To provide advertising and marketing communications tailored to you on our websites and in our apps (see our cookie policy for more information)
• To process your health data in order to meet your accessibility requirements, where this is expressly requested and explicit consent has been given.
Who we share your data with & why
· Within the Live Nation Entertainment group of companies, which provides services for us such as marketing, profiling, accounting and technical support.
· Our third-party providers (sometimes called data processors), such as cloud computing providers who supply the IT infrastructure our products and systems are built on.
Our co-promoters or event partners who organise or provide certain services at an event (in accordance with their own privacy policies).
· Third parties who supply goods and services you have bought (e.g. merchandise), so that they can process and fulfil your orders.
· Government or other authorised bodies, to the extent permitted or required by law
· Any legal successor to our business or a part of it
Your choices & rights

· To refuse the use of cookies and tracking tools, please read our cookie policy.
· To turn off location tracking and stop receiving push notifications, you can change the settings on your device or turn off your location. Web push notifications can be turned off in your browser settings.
· To object to personalisation, you can change your preferences in your account. If this option is not available, you can contact us and we will do it for you.
Your rights
Your rights also relate to the way your personal data is used, including:
· The right to object to our processing of your data.
· The right to request the erasure of your data or a restriction on its further use.
· The right to request a copy of the data held about you.
· The right to have data you have given us corrected, completed or updated (if you have an account with us, you can also do this by logging in and updating your details).
· The right to object to any automated decision-making about you. Automated decision-making is a decision taken without human involvement that has legal consequences (e.g. a credit check). We do not generally carry out automated decision-making, but where we do, we will make clear where such decisions are taken.
To exercise any of the rights above, please complete this form. Please note that we will consider carefully every request we receive, but your rights may differ depending on where you live and we do not always have to comply. Where that is the case, we will explain the reasons to you.
How we look after your data
We have put security measures in place to protect your data. The security measures we use depend on the type of data collected.
We keep your data only for as long as is necessary to provide the services you have requested, for the purposes set out in this policy and for any legal purposes for which we are required to retain the data. We will securely delete your data in line with the applicable internal company policies once it is no longer needed for those purposes.
As part of a global group of companies we rely on “shared services”, some of which are located outside Europe. When “world-class acts” are on tour, your data may be transferred worldwide at the same time so that we can offer you a seamless experience.
Strict rules apply to this kind of data transfer to make sure your data continues to be protected to a high standard. Where we transfer data in this way, we will make sure appropriate safeguards are in place. Where your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we use one of the mechanisms listed below.
· Standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission
· EU-US Privacy Shield
· Binding corporate rules
· Binding corporate rules for processors
